What are the CEFR levels?
The Common European Framework of Reference levels (CEFR) is a framework for measuring the level of literacy and numeracy in different languages. It was developed by the European Union in order to ensure that all EU citizens have the same level of literacy and numeracy, regardless of their language. The CEFR consists of six levels, which can be divided into 3 parts according to their complicity and standardization which are: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
Beginner

B1 – B1 can be recognized as an intermediate level, which refers to understanding topics related to hobbies, sports, and lifestyle. Here, you can write about some simple topics which will show your interesting thought and understanding. B2 indicates competence in using basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills too.
B2 – B2 level is a little bit difficult to achieve where you can communicate with a native speaker without too much difficulty and effort. The B2 English level speaker can naturally answer the questions. It is also known as the upper-intermediate level.
Advanced
C1 – It refers to understanding a conversation about a complex subject or topic without too much thinking. At the C1 level, you can write academic texts.
C2 – C2 level can be considered a proficient level where you can communicate very fluently with hardly making any mistakes. You must have Expertise in using complex reading, writing, and speaking skills.
